A beautiful weekend on Bennington Drive

We had the most beautiful weather this weekend, Owen, the kids and I spent almost the entire weekend in our yard playing and having picnics.
Friday night Owen took Grace, Grayson & I to dinner at Fuzzy's.  Before Grayson was born, Daddy took Grace & I out to dinner for a date every Friday night.  Grayson helps Daddy take Mommy & Sister out now.  I love that my kids love to be out and about and that they are always really good in restaurants.  Saturday morning we had breakfast and went right outside and started playing.  My Mom was coming from Mt. Pleasant bringing Grace a surprise.....
A BARBIE JEEP!!!  She loves it, but gets her driving skills from her Mommy....she s awful! haha!  She will soon learn though, but for now we run along side her and help her steer.  She usually is looking everywhere except the direction she is going.  It's so cute to see her and her little friends in it.
Thank you Cathy, Katie & Sam for giving it to us!  We love Sam's hand-me-down toys!!
Grace and I had a picnic lunch next to her Jeep on Saturday, and after Grayson woke up from him nap we went to the grocery store.  Daddy met us up there and shopped with us which is always a treat. That night Grace's friend Evellyn came over to play and try out the Barbie Jeep. They had such a great time playing, I love that Grace has two little girls her age on our street to play with.  So fun.  Daddy grilled steaks and fish for dinner that was super yummy.
Sunday Nana came back over to play and have a picnic with Grace.  Aunt Carren & Uncle Zach joined us.  It was a blast.  After lunch we headed to our neighborhood park to play.
Daddy cooked dinner on his smoker and G.G. & Grandpa joined us for dinner.
Somehow in all the fun I also managed to get in 3 great runs and a clean house.  It helps that Owen has turned into super husband/daddy lately, he is amazing!
Hope that everyone had a wonderful weekend also and enjoyed the beautiful weather.  Here's to hoping the weather stays this great!

Grayson's new trick!

Grayson can sit up!!!  Can't believe how quickly he is growing up.  He will be 7 months next week.  It has flown by.  He is such a precious addition to our family and Grace is the best Big Sister ever....just ask her! haha!  So proud of them both and cherish every second of everyday!  So lucky that God  chose Owen and I to be their Mommy & Daddy!!

A great man gone to soon

9 years ago today the world lost a wonderful man.  He was a awesome cousin and friend.  The most amazing athlete and with the help of the great people a the University of Miami, he became quite the student, which he was so proud of.
I would give anything for my kids to know him and for him to get the chance to love them as he did our family.  He was so protective and loving.  He was taken from us to soon, but in the short time he was here with is, he touched so many lives and we are all better for having known him.
In the years he was at the University of Miami, I remember our late night cross country phone calls.  He really loved being there.  Zach, Carren & I spent most Saturdays of those 4 years in front of the TV cheering him and the Hurricanes to victory!  We were so proud of him!  He played strong side linebacker, and now he is on the lords strong side, still keeping and eye on us!
Love you Christopher Jamel, miss you everyday!  Happy 32nd birthday next Tuesday!!

Cousin Slumber Party

The kids and I went to Mt.Pleasant this past weekend, Grace and her cousins Maggie and McKala had a slumber party at Nana/Aunt Pam's house.  They had such a good time.  It was cute to hear them talk and play.  I love they Grace and Maggie are so close in age (2 months apart) and will get to share things in the lives.  McKala was so sweet to come and help, being that it was Maggie's first time to stay at Aunt Pam's.  I pray that they will always be close and someday when they are older like their Mommy's that they will become best friends like Kisha and I have.  I cherish that so much!
Kisha took some pictures of the girls as we were leaving their house.  You can tell they are very excited about their slumber party!
